Median barrier work to close lanes on California’s Highway 101 in two counties – again

Starting Friday, November 15 at 10:00 PM, Caltrans will implement a 55-hour lane closure on U.S. 101 between the San Mateo/Santa Clara County line and Whipple Avenue. This closure, part of an ongoing median barrier upgrade, will affect the North and Southbound Express Lanes (#1 lane) and continue until Monday, November 18 at 5:00 AM. The closure is the eighth in a series of nine planned weekend lane closures, minimizing disruptions to daily traffic. Additional closures may occur to accommodate equipment. Caltrans appreciates drivers’ patience as they work to enhance safety along this stretch of highway. The final closure will take place the following weekend, November 22-25.
