Dozens gathered to raise money for an organization that works to help survivors of clergy sex abuse. TentMakers of Louisiana held its inaugural Resilience Rising Gala at Vermilionville on Friday, November 15. News 15’s Jim Hummel served as emcee for the event, which featured a live auction and stories from survivors about hope and healing. TentMakers was started in 2019 by a St. Landry Parish family whose son was molested by a priest in the Diocese of Lafayette.
