Brush fire extends to Providence triple-decker home

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Firefighters battled a fire at a triple-decker home in Providence Saturday afternoon.

A brush fire on Shipyard Street extended to the house on Georgia Avenue — according to a city spokesperson — eventually getting to all three floors.

The front of the home suffered heavy damage, and a viewer-submitted video showed flames shooting out the first floor.

Nobody inside the home during the fire suffered any injuries, the spokesperson said.
