A storm system moving out of northern Utah will bring lingering rain and snow to higher elevations this morning. Precipitation is expected to taper off as temperatures drop, causing snow levels to lower to the valley floors. However, light accumulation is anticipated, mainly in areas affected by lake-enhanced precipitation. As the system exits, expect much colder temperatures, with highs about 10°F below normal for northern Utah and southwest Wyoming. The good news? A high-pressure system will bring dry and slightly milder conditions for Sunday. Another weak storm will follow early next week, but drier weather should return soon after, the NWS stated.
