Denmark Wins Miss Universe

In a stunning victory, Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark has emerged as the new Miss Universe. The animal rights advocate and diamond industry employee triumphed over Miss Nigeria in Mexico City’s 73rd edition of the prestigious pageant. Mexico’s representative took the third spot.

This marks a historic moment for Denmark, as Theilvig is the first contestant from the country to win the coveted title. The event was held in the Mexico City Arena, where thousands of enthusiastic supporters cheered and waved flags representing nations worldwide.

The ceremony commenced with a captivating performance by 131 mariachi musicians and Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, who performed “Mexicana,” a song specially composed for the occasion. Mario López, Olivia Culpo, Zuri Hall, and Catriona Gray graced the stage as hosts.

Out of the impressive pool of over 120 contestants, this year’s pageant welcomed several first-time participants from Belarus, Eritrea, Guinea, Macau, Maldives, Moldova, and Uzbekistan. Mexico’s hosting of Miss Universe marks its third time hosting the grand event.
