SACRAMENTO – Stacy Hagberg, a nurse from Shasta County, scratched her way to a life-changing win after turning a $10 Power 10’s Scratchers ticket into a $1 million jackpot. On her way to work, Hagberg stopped at an ampm and grabbed the last ticket of the game—something she hadn’t planned on buying. “I started scratching and saw the one and commas, and I thought, ‘Oh my God, I think I just won a million dollars!’” she shared. Despite the surreal moment, Hagberg is now debt-free and thinking about retirement. “I used to think I’d work until the day I died,” she said. Her win also earned the ampm owner a $5,000 bonus.
