Another Florida Winn Dixie Confirmed To Close December 1st To Become An Aldi & Residents Are Unhappy

Often, when I write articles about Florida Winn Dixie stores converting to an Aldi, some readers comment that they hope their local Winn Dixie will be left alone. This hasn’t happened in some cities and in some situations. I’ve written about Winn Dixies in cities like Crystal River, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Ormond Beach, Lakeland, and Panama City that will be converting. And now – one more conversion is confirmed, in Homosassa.

The Aldi In Question: The store located at 3792 South Suncoast Boulevard will reportedly close on December 1st to begin the conversion. It has been reviewed over 1,300 times and earns 4.3 out of 5 stars on Google reviews.

Many had nice things to say, and some mentioned a recent remodel. A reviewer named Neil wrote:

“Nice place to shop! They are in the middle of a big remodel. Since the remodel things are better than before! Service is good, and prices are not bad!”

However, one person was aware of the conversion. Linda wrote:

“Love my Winn Dixie, but (there are) so many empty shelves now (that) Aldi is destroying our Winn Dixie. (I) wish Aldi would never take over.”
