Driver arrested for reckless driving in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A 35-year-old man was arrested for reckless driving after police observed his vehicle swerving dangerously on North Shoreline Boulevard early Saturday morning. Jesus Garcia, of Corpus Christi, was taken into custody and his vehicle was impounded, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department. Officers noticed Garcia’s vehicle exiting a private drive in the 100 block of North Shoreline Boulevard around 12:25 a.m. on November 16, 2024. The vehicle accelerated quickly and swerved intentionally, causing it to jerk violently from side to side and lane to lane, police said. Garcia was stopped on Coopers Alley and subsequently arrested for reckless driving. He was transported to the city detention center, and his vehicle was impounded, stated the police department.
