HIAWATHA, Iowa (KCRG) – The Hiawatha Library has a new collection of musical instruments for kids to check out, thanks to a local Girl Scout’s Gold Award project. Alicia Mangin, Youth Services Librarian at the Hiawatha Library, said kids receive a lot of benefits from listening to and playing music. That’s why, when Girl Scout Brynlie Peery approached her about this project, she said yes.
