COLUMBIA, S.C. – Officials say that the South Carolina Highway Patrol is now investigating after a vehicle struck an apartment building. Columbia Fire said the call was dispatched around 4:45 p.m. to the 1200 block of Metze Road, which is in the St. Andrews community. Officials said a vehicle appears to have run into the corner of an apartment, causing structural damage and displacing one person.
