Man dead after North Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after a shooting in North Memphis, police say.

At 3:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Locust Street.

Officers were told the victim left by private vehicle prior to their arrival.

At 3:23 p.m., officers were told that the victim of the Locust Street shooting arrived at 2248 Chelsea Avenue.

Woman detained after Hickory Hill shooting

The victim was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Police say there is no suspect information at this time.
