1 dead after motorcycle collides with vehicle in Harrodsburg

HARRODSBURG, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — The driver of a motorcycle has died in the hospital following a crash involving a vehicle in Harrodsburg on Sunday.

The Harrodsburg Police Department told FOX 56 that it happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of US-127 and Lexington Road.

Harrodsburg police said when officers arrived at the scene, the driver of the motorcycle was severely injured. The driver was flown to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, per law enforcement.

It is not known if anyone in the vehicle reportedly involved in the crash was injured.

The identity of the motorcycle driver has not yet been released, pending notification of the next of kin.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing by Harrodsburg Police and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
