YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The Franklin Street Social, a highly anticipated food hall, has officially opened in the Midstate.
Dozens of people lined up early Sunday afternoon to get inside.
“York County’s culinary destination, the Franklin Street Social,” said Ethan Greer, the co-owner. “13 different vendors and a bar. A place for you to come hang out, enjoy time with your friends and family.”
Greer tells abc27 that this food hall comes after 2 years in the making.
“So, my partner, bought this property about two years ago,” Greer said. “There’s 88 apartment rentals in the inside. Through our process of being friends, we had talked about maybe creating a food hall. He said he had the perfect space for it.”

The food hall is located on the 200 block of Franklin Street in Red Lion.
“I watched them build it,” said Teri Mabie of York County. “It was crazy. Like they tore everything out of the whole building all the way down to just the floors, and they put all these new black windows and there’s like a ton of windows in this building. It probably cost them a lot of money. So, it looks pretty good in here, though.”
