Plane Crashes at California Dragstrip

A single-engine plane crashed into the Pomona Dragstrip on Sunday during the NHRA Drag Racing finals. Three people sustained moderate to severe injuries.

The crash occurred around 11:10 a.m., causing the race to be temporarily halted. The plane struck two vehicles upon impact, damaging a white truck.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the incident and has not yet disclosed the number of people on board the plane.

First responders rushed to the scene and transported the injured to local hospitals. Racing resumed at 1 p.m. after a brief pause.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Pomona is located approximately 30 miles east of Los Angeles.
