WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Lee Richardson Zoo has welcomed several new animals recently. Some of them are in quarantine behind the scenes while others are on exhibit. The Zoo’s “South American Pampas” is now home to two new female rhea, and three cavy, two male and one female from the Abilene (Texas) Zoo. They will join fellow female rhea resident “Margarita” and the cavy will join females “Dulce” and “Fria”.
