Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed an executive order on fairness in name, image, likeness (NIL) compensation for student athletes in Ohio. This executive order stems from a settlement entered by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and several athletic conferences, which if given full approval, would allow for higher education institutions to compensate their student athletes for the use of their NIL.
