Video – Sticks Incoming! – USS Bald Eagles

Yesterday morning was a busy one for Irv & Claire. Sticks were brought in from different directions and both eagles were moving things around in the nest. Of course egg laying doesn’t come till sometime in late February to early March, but it sure is nice to see all the activity at the nest!

About the nest: The nest is located in a suburb of Pittsburgh along the Monongahela River at the Mon Valley Works–Irvin Plant in West Mifflin, PA. The U.S Steel bald eagle pair first started nesting along the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh in 2020.

U.S. Steel Eagle Cam Historical Timeline: Nesting season usually begins just after new years every year. Expected hatch is 34-36 days from the date the 1st egg was laid.
