Wanted, ‘violent’ man arrested after Gresham search

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man with warrants for “multiple violent crimes” was found and arrested in Gresham early Monday night after a shelter-in-place was issued in the late afternoon.

The suspect, 39-year-old Gabriel Saucedo, ran into the neighborhood near NE 195th and Clackamas Street when police initially tried to arrest him on those outstanding warrants.

Officials believed Saucedo was armed. A perimeter was set up and some roads were closed during the search.

At 6:47 p.m., Gresham police said Saucedo was in custody after the search, which involved drones and K9s.

The shelter-in-place was lifted.
