HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Some much needed rain continues to fall across much of the area this evening as an upper level low spins its way northeast through south central Nebraska. It’s on the east side of this storm system where we could see an isolated strong to severe storm through mid evening. A marginal risk exists for southeast Nebraska. The main threats will be strong winds gusts up to 60 mph. quarter size hail and possibly a brief tornado. Showers will then be lifting to the northeast this evening and should clear the area by around or shortly after midnight. As skies clear up tonight, lows will dip back to between the upper 20s west and the lower 40s east. Winds remaining blustery will actually keep temperatures up a little.
