2 women arrested after stolen car chase, crash in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Two women were arrested Monday evening after police said they led officers on a chase involving a stolen car.

According to the Rochester Police Department, the vehicle they were in was reportedly robbed on South Avenue earlier in the day. When officers later located the car on Lyell Avenue and tried to conduct a traffic stop, police said the driver instead took off.

The pursuit ended up going through the East side of the city, where we’re told the driver finally stopped in the Trinidad parking lot of the Public Market.
