Victim in fatal Naples shooting on Saturday identified as 18-year-old; shooter on lam

Two days after shots rang during a large gathering at a rental home, leaving one woman dead, authorities say they continue to search for the assailant.

The Collier County Sheriff’s has identified the victim in Saturday night’s shooting at 3035 64 th St. S.W. as Deshia Arthur, 18, of Naples.

According to the sheriff’s office’s incident report, homeowner Alex Torres told sheriff’s deputies he rented out the house at the time of the shooting and said parties were not allowed.

Authorities said Torres reported he was aware of a party he captured through his home cameras.

As sheriff’s deputies approached they reported they saw approximately 80 people present.

Sheriff’s deputies then ordered everyone to exit through the front door, but several people fled to the backyard, jumped the fence and headed toward Golden Gate Parkway.

Two sheriff’s deputies were on the second floor when they reported they heard multiple gunshots and saw “muzzle flash” on the street.
