Gunmen pull up alongside victims, open fire on S. Main Street; 2 wounded

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police are searching for suspects in a double shooting that left two men injured over the weekend.

The shooting happened around 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, November 16th near the Mobil gas station at the intersection of South Main Street and Lane Avenue, authorities said.

Investigators said a dark-colored vehicle pulled up alongside the victim’s car and occupants of the suspect vehicle opened fire.

A 39-year-old man was shot multiple times and is currently in stable condition at a local hospital.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg.

No suspects or arrests were announced by police.
