(KRON) — The City of Rohnert Park Police & Fire reported two children were injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision.

Investigators said the accident occurred Nov. 15 on Country Club Drive when one driver became distracted by children in their back seat. The driver had to “swerve to avoid a vehicle ahead” of them then strayed into the opposite lane, smashing into an oncoming car.

Investigators said both children were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for moderate injuries and released. There is no word yet on what charges may be filed against the driver.
