State working to identify Massachusetts police officers who circumvented mandatory in-service training

BOSTON – The Municipal Police Training Committee is cracking down on Massachusetts law enforcement officers accused of bypassing mandatory training. The committee said it recently identified instances in which some officers circumvented online in-service training requirements. In response, MPTC Executive Director Chief Jeff Farnsworth sent a letter last week to alert agency heads.
