Ohio State HC Ryan Day calls out Buckeye fans ahead of huge Big Ten matchup with Indiana

If you had said before the season that Ohio State would be hosting an Indiana team that is ranked No. 5 in the country in late November, people would have thought you were crazy. But that is exactly what will happen on Saturday when the Hoosiers travel to Columbus.

For the Buckeyes, they need this win if they want to get back to the Big Ten championship game, where a rematch with the Oregon Ducks will likely be awaiting them. However, this Indiana team is one that Ohio State can’t look past because they are 10-0 for a reason.

The battle between the No. 2 Buckeyes and the No. 5 Hoosiers will happen at noon, but Ohio State head coach Ryan Day is still calling on the fans to have a big impact.

“This is a big weekend for all of us and it’s a big weekend for our fans,” Day said on Monday . “When they’re loud, it makes a huge difference and it’s going to make a difference in this game. This has got to be a hostile and angry environment. We’ve got everything on the line this week.

We’re gonna be practicing with an edge, we’re gonna be playing with an edge this week. And I know that when Buckeye Nation shows up in that stadium, they’re going to have an edge. There’s going to be electricity in the stadium. And every time (Indiana) has the ball, I mean, it’s going to be loud, which gives our entire defense a huge advantage.”
