Wild horse advocates concerned over lack of transparency towards Washoe Lake fencing plans

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Wild horse advocates are speaking out, saying they’re concerned about a lack of transparency when it comes to plans to put a fence around Washoe Lake. As of now, the Nevada Department of Agriculture is making plans to build a fence around Washoe Lake. They say, it’s to increase public safety and protect the horses from harmful human interactions, as well as roadways. But, wild horse advocates argue this fencing will do more damage to horses as it cuts off multiple vital water sources.
