In an ideal world, all dogs would be rescued from animal services and either be able to go home (if they were lost) or find new, safe, and loving homes. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always happen. Some dogs are not claimed. Sometimes, rescue organizations will step in once a dog’s stray hold time is up. This is what happened in the case of a cute Shih Tzu in Florida.
Meet Anderson: This little guy didn’t have the best timing. His stray hold was up at animal services just as Milton was approaching. So Florida Little Dog Rescue stepped in to foster him. But he is now looking for a forever home.
Anderson is estimated to be around 4-5 years old and he is around 12 pounds. His foster mom says he has a “big personality” and loves to be the center of attention.
That said, he is very sweet. He loves to rest his head on your shoulder and sleep with his person if he is allowed. Anderson is good with children and other dogs, but he has high energy levels so he might annoy a senior dog.
He doesn’t like being alone so his ideal owner will be someone who is home often. He also loves to play with toys, but he has one that he favors and carries around all day long.
