Man slain in Northeast Portland, no arrests made

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Gunfire took the life of one man in Northeast Portland early Monday night and police continue to look for the shooter.

Shots were fired around 5:45 p.m. near 15900 NE Fremont Street, police said in a release. Officers rushed to the scene but the man, whose identity has not been publicly released, had already died.

The initial investigation took place between NE 154th and 162nd near Fremont in the Wilkes neighborhood.

Authorities provided no information about any possible suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact PPB.
