The animal welfare department says the donation wish list includes small toys, treats, beds, brushes, wand toys, scratchers, sweaters, jackets, blankets, towels, collars, harnesses, pill pockets, and other similar items. “Donating comfort gifts will help keep our shelter pets from developing depression, loneliness or boredom as they await adoption,” Director of Animal Welfare Department Carolyn Ortega said in a release.
