Tortoise named ‘T Pain’ found on busy road weeks after going missing

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A tortoise that went missing earlier this month was safely located off a busy Clearwater road by police.

“There’s a new #petdetective in town,” the Clearwater Police Department said.

Sgt. Price saw the slow-moving critter on South MLK Jr. Avenue and grabbed the animal from the roadway.

But she realized he looked a bit too clean to be an outdoor tortoise, with a “pristine undercarriage.”
