For the second time this month, a 17-year-old has been arrested for bringing a gun to Osborne High School.
According to his arrest warrant, Denim Lee Boiner brought a handgun to the high school on Nov. 13.
Administrators became aware of the weapon from a text message or email, and sent the school’s resource officer to remove Boiner from his class, which was taking place in the new gymnasium.
Boiner’s book bag was immediately removed from his possession, according to the warrant, and he was searched in a safe location.
According to the warrant, the handgun had an extended magazine inside of the well of the weapon, that contained 5 ball rounds and 3 hollow point rounds. There were no rounds in the chamber.
Boiner was arrested on four charges, including carrying a firearm on a school campus, and having a gun under the age of 18, and is being held in the Cobb County Jail without bond.
His arrest came less than two weeks after another 17-year-old, Keylan Johnson, was arrested for bringing a gun to Osborne High School and assaulting a man outside a Smyrna smoke shop on Nov. 1.
