A woman was killed after she was hit by a vehicle while allegedly sitting in the middle of the street in a Mississippi neighborhood.
Officials from the Jackson Police Department report that the unidentified woman was allegedly sitting in the middle of West Ridge Drive when she was struck by the vehicle.
The incident happened at approximately 7 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived on the scene they discovered the woman in the middle of the road. She was transported to an area hospital, where she later died.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman was on the scene when officers arrived.
