(FOX40.COM) — Nine months after the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office broke up a nearly 90-vehicle sideshow and towed all the cars, most remain in custody.

Around 2 a.m. on Feb. 3, the sheriff’s office busted a massive sideshow on Country Club Boulevard and Pershing Avenue in Stockton. Deputies reportedly closed the roads while they detained over 150 people and impounded 88 vehicles. At the time, San Joaquin County Sheriff Patrick Withrow told people whose cars were in his possession they could “stop calling” because the vehicles would be held until court cases were settled with the district attorney’s office.
“We’re proud to report that our efforts to eliminate these dangerous events are working,” SJCSO said .
As of Tuesday, the Sheriff’s office reported 13 vehicles have been released from San Joaquin County, while 76 are still under investigation. 250 cases have also been forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review.
