Amarillo Continuum of Care details shelter, Code Blue Warming Station information for cold weather

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Amarillo Continuum of Care Program reminded community members of shelter information and resources with the arrival of cold weather in the community, particularly during overnight hours.

Representatives of Amarillo CoC noted on social media that community members can follow the page for the Code Blue Warming Station , located at 207 N. Tyler St., for notifications about openings. Community members can also text “CODEBLUE” to 888777 for opening information.

Further, Amarillo CoC reminded community members of daytime, nighttime and transportation shelter and resources, including:

      • ‘Cold weather’ nights of 32 degrees or lower

        • Inbound: 12, 23, 30, 31 at Third/South Tyler
    • Faith City Mission
      • 600 N Tyler St.
      • November – April
      • Sign-in on Sundays at 4:40 p.m.
