Darrell Clarke appointed chairman of Pa. Liquor Control Board

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Former City Council President Darrell Clarke has been named chairman of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

Gov. Josh Shapiro made the announcement Friday. Clarke succeeds Tim Holden, whose term as chair ended Thursday.

Clarke has been a member of the Liquor Control Board since his confirmation in February. He has served as a member of its Stop-and-Go Legislative Task Force, which was commissioned to recommend regulations for stop-and-go stores.

Clarke said that he is honored to be entrusted with the position.
