Pair with Warrants Arrested Behind Closed Houston Business; Methamphetamine Discovered

Deputies arrested two individuals late Wednesday night following a report of suspicious activity behind a closed business in the 10900 block of Fuqua Street in the South Belt/Ellington area. A concerned citizen called the Harris County Constable Precinct Two’s Office around 10:30 p.m., reporting unusual behavior by two people in the area.

Responding deputies located and detained the suspects, identified as Jeffery Cooper, a white male, and Tiffany Cooper, a white female, as they attempted to leave the scene.

An investigation revealed that Jeffery Cooper was wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and by the Webster Police Department for failure to appear in court. Tiffany Cooper also had multiple active warrants, including a felony charge for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and failure to appear in court from McLennan County, as well as a grand larceny of an automobile charge from Rogers County.

During a routine inventory of the vehicle, deputies found methamphetamine in the suspects’ possession. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges for possession of a controlled substance against both Jeffery and Tiffany Cooper.
