A group of people is making sure homeless kids have toys to open on Christmas Day.

News Center 7′s Malik Patterson spoke with the organizer of the 937 Toy Drive. She explains how she can relate to them after being homeless tonight on News Center 7 at 11:00.

Shondale Atkinson said these kids are in dire need.
She also understands what they are going through after being homeless.
“It just means so much to me to be able to go back and be able to sow into a territory that gave me so much,” she said.
People can drop off the toys outside 937 Bar & Grill at the 5500 block of N. Main Street until Dec. 16.
