Frost/Freeze TONIGHT : All of central Alabama is under a Frost Advisory tonight and a few counties mainly northwest and northeast of Birmingham are under a Freeze Warning through Sunday morning as temperatures fall into the lower to middle 30s.
Sunday: Frosty conditions will start out day before southerly winds and ample sunshine bring us to the upper 60s for high temperatures. With light winds, it will feel very comfortable outside.
Next Week: Sunshine prevails through Monday afternoon before some clouds and a few showers build in Monday night as a weak cold front passes. Temperatures will be very warm on Monday afternoon with most places hitting the lower/middle 70s. The weak front will knock temperatures back to near seasonal values with highs in the middle 60s for midweek. Clouds decrease through Tuesday afternoon before building back in on Wednesday night ahead of another, much stronger cold front.
This front will bring rain showers as early as Wednesday night for west-central Alabama. As of right now, the Birmingham area may stay mostly dry through Thursday morning, then showers and a few storms will develop during the late morning and early afternoon, moving east into Thursday evening. At this time, it does appear the atmosphere may become unstable just enough for a severe storm or two on Thanksgiving Day, but details will come into focus as we near closer. Rain and storms will be out of here for Black Friday shopping with breezy conditions and much cooler weather as highs fall back to the lower 50s.
