TAMPA, Fla. – A Tampa woman, Mirtza Ocana, has been sentenced to five months in federal prison for attempting to smuggle over $100,000 into the United States. On February 5, 2024, Ocana returned from Cuba and falsely declared to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that she had nothing to declare.
