At age 53, I realized I had spent most of my adult life in one place. My mother’s passing inspired me to break free from fear and pursue my dream of living overseas.

After meeting my husband, I couldn’t shake my wanderlust. The pandemic made me reevaluate my priorities, and I resolved to make travel a priority.

In 2023, my husband and I became “empty nesters” and decided to live part-time in France. We started with short stays in Bordeaux and Toulouse before spending several months in Paris and other regions.

Each trip has been transformative. I’ve connected with locals, made new friends, and gained a new perspective. I know I’m privileged to have this adventure, and I’m determined to make the most of this opportunity to explore the world.
