Man found shot to death inside vehicle at Antioch shopping center, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a man was found shot dead inside a vehicle Sunday night at a shopping center in Antioch.

Metro officers responded just after 10:30 p.m. to a parking lot in the 1300 block of Bell Road, where the victim was discovered.

Authorities reported that the man appeared to have been shot inside the vehicle, which then accelerated and crashed into a dentist’s office.

Around 5 a.m. Monday the vehicle was extracted from the building and loaded onto a tow truck. News 2 video from the scene shows the car severely damaged, with a smashed front-end and broken windows.

Officials have not shared any information about a suspect, but say they will review surveillance footage from nearby businesses.

No additional information is available as the investigation continues this morning.
