Police say two arrests have been made in the robbery of an Iowa bank Wednesday afternoon.
The West Des Moines Police Department says its officers responded to the Freedom Financial Bank at 1255 Jordan Creek Parkway just before 4:00 p.m. on a robbery call. A news release from the department says police gathered information about a vehicle and suspect believed to be involved in the robbery and shared that with other law enforcement agencies.

The information shared led the Iowa State Patrol to stop the suspect vehicle a short time later on I-80 just west of Anita, Iowa. The traffic stop was made without incident.
Daniel Mathes and Lisa Haire, both of Georgia, were arrested at the traffic stop. Mathes is charged with second-degree robbery and first-degree theft and Haire is charged with aiding and abetting second-degree robbery and aiding and abetting first-degree theft. They are being held in the Dallas County Jail.
