Multnomah County traffic stop yields pounds of meth, thousands of fentanyl pills

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A man was arrested for several drug charges on Nov. 13 after Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies allegedly located and seized 9 pounds of meth, 7,000 fentanyl pills, 226 grams of fentanyl powder, 32 grams of heroin and more than $1,500 in cash during a traffic stop near the intersection of Halsey Street and 238th Drive in Wood Village.

The suspect, 35-year-old Juan Jose Ambriz-Zaragoza, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on eight felony drug charges and three misdemeanor charges. Ambriz-Zaragoza is being held on $20,000 bail.

Among the list of drug charges, Ambriz-Zaragoza also failed to present a driver’s license, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said.
