1 dead after Monday morning crash involving dump truck in Baldwin County, witness says

UPDATE (4 p.m.): Officials with ALEA released more information about a Baldwin County deadly crash that happened Monday morning.

According to officials, the crash that happened around 10:18 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, resulted in the death of a Robertsdale man.

Officials said the man was killed when the 2016 Nissan Versa he was driving collided head-on with a 2024 Freightliner dump truck driven by a Chunchula driver.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the dump truck driver is unknown.

ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.

UPDATE (11:40 a.m.): News 5 has learned more about a serious crash involving a dump truck.

A witness at the scene told WKRG crews that a person died in the crash that happened around 10:20 a.m. on Monday. ALEA officials have not confirmed the fatality at this time.

County Road 12 South is still closed at the intersection where the crash happened, officials said.
