WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Daphne man was killed and a teenager was seriously injured after a head-on collision in Washington County over the weekend, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The ALEA said the deadly crash that happened around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, near the 36-mile marker of U.S. 45, involved two vehicles:
- 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 54-year-old Daphne man
- 2008 Nissan Sentra driven by a 19-year-old from Deer Park
According to crash reports, the Ram and the Sentra collided head-on.
Officials said the Daphne man, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old was seriously injured in the crash and taken to USA Hospital in Mobile for treatment.

The crash is currently under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
