Thanksgiving week forecast for Boise shows more sun, lower temps. Here’s what to know

Boise can be thankful for a mostly sunny forecast with a low chance of rain this week as a high-pressure system moves in, giving the Treasure Valley a sunny Thanksgiving on Thursday.

While the high temperatures won’t exceed 45 degrees, the forecast shows low winds and minimal clouds, according to the National Weather Service in Boise.

Here is what’s on tap, according to the NWS.

When can Boise expect sunny weather?

Tuesday is expected to clear up by the evening. Boise can expect to receive less than a tenth of an inch of rain, specifically between .05 to .08 of an inch, according to meteorologist Jackson Macfarlane, in the morning and afternoon.

Boise has received over an inch of rain so far this month, according to online weather data from NOAA . The normal amount of rain during November is 0.92 inches, but Boise had 1.32 inches as of Nov. 23.

The high-pressure system moving into the Treasure Valley should push precipitation out of the region for the foreseeable future, Macfarlane said.
