Man injured following a shooting on Madison’s north side

MADISON, Wis. — A 51-year-old man was injured following a shooting on Madison’s north side Sunday.

Police said a 51-year-old man arrived to a local hospital with gunshot wounds around 7:15 p.m. Sunday where he reportedly told officers the shooting happened overnight along the 1100 block of N. Sherman Avenue.

The victim said a man allegedly pulled out a gun and shot him during an argument. Police said the man is expected to recover from his injuries.

A noise complaint was reported in the area around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday. Officers from another nearby area checked that call for service and nothing was located.

The Violent Crime Unit is assisting with this investigation. No arrests have been made.
