Meghan Markle has spoken publicly for the first time amidst claims that her working relationship with Prince Harry is in shambles.
The couple, who live in Montecito, California , has recently been seen attending events separately . Last week, Meghan, 43, attended a Thanksgiving event without Harry, 40.
This comes after reports that their professional partnership is “in a very bad state.”

Meghan, however, was all smiles as she participated in an event for the Southern California Welcome Project, a collaboration with the Archewell Foundation she shares with Harry. In a statement posted to their foundation’s website, Meghan discussed a “heartfelt dinner” held for Afghan women with the organization Mina’s List.
“This initiative, led by the partner organization Mina’s List, has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the U.S. from Afghanistan,” the statement read. It continued: “The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience. The Duchess expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences, underscoring her excitement for future gatherings that continue to strengthen these connections.”
