Tonight : A cold front will move into Alabama and continue into early Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. Showers and storms will move across the region overnight into Thursday morning.
There will be a chance for strong to possibly severe storms with gusty winds, hail, and a low threat for a tornado. The severe storm timing will be between 12 AM and 8 AM. SPC has placed Central Alabama in a Level 1/5 Marginal Risk for Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The threat is low, so have ways to get alerts to wake you up.
The rain will end Thursday midday with lingering clouds. High temperatures will be in the morning around 60, but they will fall through the 50s into the 40s by Thursday evening.
It will turn MUCH cooler on Black Friday with a breezy. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the upper 40s. Bundle up if you are going shopping early! Friday night will be clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s.
Weekend Outlook : A reinforcing shot of colder air will arrive this weekend. Saturday will be sunny and very chilly with highs in the upper 40s. Saturday night will be mostly clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Sunday will be sunny and chilly with highs in the middle 40s. More cold air arrives Sunday night with lows back down into the lower to middle 20s for Central Alabama.
