Actress Jennifer Garner bid farewell to her beloved golden retriever, Birdie, last week. The 52-year-old announced the sad news on Instagram.
Despite the global challenges, Garner felt it was important to share Birdie’s passing with her followers, who had witnessed the dog’s life through her social media posts. Birdie had fallen ill and lived a full and happy life.
Garner shared that Birdie had waited for her daughter Violet to return home from college before passing away. Violet, 18, is a freshman at Yale. The family believes Birdie held on to say goodbye to her special person.
Birdie had a playful and loving personality. She enjoyed being read to, participating in pretend cooking shows, and being a therapy dog. Garner expressed her gratitude for Birdie’s unconditional love and described her as an “angel girl.”
